Seeking a CEO/President committed to pursuing Sheffield Place’s mission to empower homeless mothers and their children to heal from their trauma and become self-sufficient
After more than 15 years, Kelly Welch, CEO/President, is stepping down at the end of 2026. Under Kelly’s leadership, Sheffield Place went from having residential capacity to serve 14 families in one building to 29 units in three buildings and nine permanent housing units. From 2010 to 2025 Sheffield Place increased services to serve more families with more services:
- 720% increase in families served
- 680% increase in services
- 200% direct program staff increased
- 170% increase in housing units.
Position Details
Staff worked to expand services to include therapy, case management, substance abuse counseling, parenting coaching, crisis intervention therapy, peer support, and more than 34 hours of group weekly. Sheffield Place continues to be one of a very few programs that allows women to enter the program while still using drugs, have up to 7 children, and allows teens.
